Even in Year 11 at my school, there are kids going "OMFG must do well in Prelim to impress parents".

Who cares what your parents think? Just get white parents. Works for me; when I did Accel IPT HSC last year, my parents' response was "Good luck, cya".

Same at my first my parents were the stereotypical Asians who would force me around in yr 11.. every day nag nag nag nag.. "if you don't get into uni you will leave the house blah blah blah"......

but now since im doing alright and im trying my best my parents are supporting me fully full encouragement and no downgrading LOL which is cool.
