Hey guys, I'm hoping to do 3U maths next year and for that I need to get 85% or above in an entry exam. I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to study for these topics and if anyone has some good notes that would be awesome. A lot of the time, after I'm done with a topic in school, I just completely forget everything about it. So any help will be greatly appreciated!

Here are the topics that are going to be in the test:

  • Basic Arithmetic (surds)
  • Basic Algebra (products and factors, equations, simultaneous equations, indices)
  • Geometry (angles and parallel lines, congruence and similarity proofs)
  • Trigonometry (sine rule, cosine rule, exact ratios)
  • Co-ordinate Geometry (midpoint, distance rule, gradiant, equation of lines, regions) and the Parabola

Do a few past papers. Whenever you get an answer (particularly in trig) put it back into your calculator to avoid making silly mistakes.

I don't see why you can't do 3unit maths even if you got less than 85% in whatever superficial exam that is.
