UTS B. Business is still a great degree. One of my friends with a cadetship at KPMG told me that they wanted him to pick either UNSW or UTS over USYD.

UTS and MQ both have very reputable business schools.

I know a lot of people like to look down on those two schools mentioned but being in industry, it makes no difference to me. I respect the Macquarie accounting course for example as it's a lot deeper and more comprehensive than UNSW. I've also gotten owned by people who did accounting at UTS in the CA exams. Really, it doesn't mean anything other than you possibly had a higher ATAR/UAI at the time of entry... but it's the other aspects of you as a person which will land you a job.

I don't understand what is wrong with UTS Business as its Atar is quite high compared to Macquarie..

ATAR/UAI cutoffs is merely supply and demand. Naturally, being in a central more accessible location is always going to attract more people. You can live in a shoddy 1 bedroom run down apartment in the city which costs $500/wk to rent or you can live in a brand new 2 bedroom apartment in the suburbs next to a train station for similar money- with a pool and parking spot. Doesn't mean one is better than the other- it's just supply and demand.

Not all about atar cutoffs. I think theyre pretty equal but personally i'd go with MQ commerce> UTS Business
