No. It's about our new branding, so PM if you want to know :) sorry mate. I just don't think it's a good idea on a public forum.

Yeah guys we have to be careful with this re-branding, it is massive and they want to keep it as hush hush as possible. But fun times ahead for us all!

I am starting to get paranoid you are an undercover agent, considering you aren't replying to my PM :) though it is late at night and all. Maybe I needn't be like this.

My mistake, it was just an email about the sizes.
My ASM said that only stores that operate 24-7 and ones that shut at 12pm will close early, everyone else will close at normal times.

Re: defrauding the SCO's. I don't know how but last year I caught people tricking the machines into printing phone recharges. There was a stack of declined credit card processes but it never came up with an EFT declined screen.
Probably irrelevant.

BTW did I mention there is a way to trick the POS into printing fuel vouchers under $30? Obviously not going to post it here though. Should probably tell corporate hey?

That would be useful actually,as often customers don't have a EDR card and the printer screws up,not printing the receipt properly. We often have to look through discarded receipts,as people get very annoyed.

Oh? I've never had an issue with fuel vouchers. Did you know that Coles has a button that generates a fuel voucher from the POS? Once again, Coles has one up on us lol.
I imagine there would be misuse by staff though. Especially considering we can opt-in to receive points instead of fuel vouchers

Heh, the assistant SM all the department managers had to work last night because the regional manager was going to visit the store today. Never seen them filling shelves before.

Pretty sure we've never had a manager come to our store the day they would. They always do a few days later when we're unprepared :) but we still usually score highly though.

Didn't Ziggy get shafted to some nobody position? I am pretty sure we have new Director of Supermarkets Tjeerd Jegen.

Ziggy is GM of retail ops, Tjeerd Jegen is director of australian supermarkets & petrol. Tjeerd replaced Greg Foran.

OMG QUESTION

Sorry for randomly interjecting this, but I was wondering if any of you guys have served any famous people? It got me thinking the other day, cos our store is in one of those smaller communities outside of the city: so obviously, very rarely any famous people. Anyway, back on topic, I served the local radio presenter and asked her to say my name on the radio: she said she would, but I never heard her do it lol. That's about as famous a person I would be able to meet where I live.

But yeah, surely you guys have served someone more famous than that? :)

Not anymore...

A few recent changes:
Steve Greentree is Chief Operating Officer - Supermarkets and Petrol (was previously GM Liquor)
Ziggy is GM Fresh New Business (was previously GM Store Operations, a position which no longer exists)
Steve Murphy is National Operations Manager (was previously Regional Manager - can't remember which region)

SVR MENU > DISC DUMP > GROCERIES > $30 > ENTER > CASH > $30

Receipt prints with fuel voucher

SVR MENU > REFUNDS > RETURN SALE > SVR MENU > DISC DUMP > GROCERIES > $30 > ENTER > CASH > KEY AMOUNT

Register is balanced, and you have a fuel voucher.

But check with your CSTM before doing this, as it will appear on daily reports
