Hey

I need help with chemistry assessment, the teacher has asked us to do four experiments of the factors affecting reaction rate but they have to be material I can use from the home, I was doing research and so far I've found a couple.

I found a website that uses alkaseltzer tablets and water and another that uses chalk and vinegar but these sound to lame for a Year 11 chemistry assessment and I was wondering if someone could give me some idea's.

It would be much appricated

Keep it simple and just use the tablets and water (this is also a year 11 bio exp)
Change your variables, not your reactants.
Test the affect of:
1. Temperature
2. Surface area (of tablet - crush it)
3. Catalyst
4. pH (?)

Sorry...I'm on my phone.

I don't think that pH necessarily affects the reaction rate all the time. I would suggest something like amount of reactants instead.

LOL that's why i don't remember it
We were behind, so we did about 2weeks of the energy module, there was 2 weeks of holidays then we went straight to production of materials XD
