Re: General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

It was pretty good! so happy, can someone confirm my answers to MC:

  1. D
  2. A
  3. B
  4. C
  5. C
  6. A
  7. C
  8. D
  9. D
  10. B
1 is C. Use Wolfram if you want proof.
2 is correct.
3 is correct.
4 is correct.
5 I put D, but I'm terrible at probability so you're probably correct. I figured there are 7 total letters but L and C only count as one, so 2 (ways of LC) * 6! (total of 6 objects)
6 is correct.
7 is correct.
8 is probably correct, I missed it until the last second and accidentally circled B because I couldn't see the question.
9 is correct.
10 probably correct.

4: If its C then the amplitude is indeed 2 but the period is 6pi, meaning it would be restricted to 3pi, not 3pi/2
5: Group the C and L together so theres 6! ways of arranging those letters but the C and L can move in between each other 2 ways, hence 2 x 6!, so D

therez total 7, C L = 2! rest 5=5!

therefore = 2 x 5!

OLYMPIC - 7 LETTERS
Wrong. C and L = 2! , this counts as 1 + 5 remaining letters = 6

Thus, 2*6!
