Hey guys im actually pretty scared for the HSC chemistry exam....the teachers are saying that since this years yr 12 had a easy or rather 'fair' chem exam they are predicting 2013 chem exam to be HARD.... is this normally how it works?? like one year it is easy then the next yr is hard???

Its not that predictable but even assuming next years exam is hard, everyone sits the exact same hard test... Hard tests are much better imo because they provide differentiation between students

It doesnt work that way, it could be easier, more difficult or the same. Also, you have to remember that difficulty can be quite a subjective concept.

And then you could differentiate them again to find their concavity hehehe...

Anyways, harder tests dont make a difference to how well you do because it'll just get scaled slightly higher. Obviously if it's a harder test, the rest of the state will do worse as well so really there's nothing to worry about.
