Love the VA series and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Read The Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy by Maggie Steifvater?
I haven't read the last book though, but it's pretty good imo.

The French Lieutenant's Woman, John Fowles.

It could inspire you in the same way it inspired my writing.

If you're into more dark/psychological stuff i'd definitely check out Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Jeff Lindsay, along with the rest of the series.

Yes! I love your taste :)
You should consider reading Anthony Horowitz's books, they are amazing.
Especially the Alex Rider series, and the Power of Five series.
You'll love them!

Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman is a good place to start.
-There's also the Unearthly series by Cynthia Hand that is just divine (oh lord, the puns).
-The Paranormalcy series by Kirsten White
-The Curse Workers series by Holly Black
-the Faerieswalker series and Nikki Glass series by Jenna Black
-You can also check out Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, which is awesome

yeah, and stream of consciousness is the worst
I used to write in stream of consciousness until I realised how much I absolutely hated SOC texts and wanted to rip my entire novella to pieces (which I promptly did and we should all be grateful for that)

You want to know how bad Stream of Consciousness is?

Read "Mrs Dalloway" by Virginia Woolf.

Forty pages for her to walk to the shop to get flowers. FORTY PAGES.

The Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin.

Brilliant as a book series, brilliant as a TV series.

PLUS, the series hasn't been finished yet, so if you enjoy the books you can become all crazed and what not :D
