If I have a slice of liver and I cover it in a Buffer solution of let's say pH 3, and give it around 5 mins to reach equilibrium - will it go to pH 3?
This is for an enzyme test. I know this method works using HCl to get it to pH 2 and NaOH for pH 9 - I'm just not 100% sure if a buffer solution would work in the same way or not
Cheers guys

I wouldn't use a buffer solution if you're testing the rates of reactions of enzymes just because buffers aren't really that reliable! If you need a solution with a specific pH of 3, you can either ask the school to make you one, or you can dilute the HCl
