News Limited is on the side of the Coalition while ABC and Fairfax are on the side of Labor. Fair game.
The ABC is editorially independent, the SMH doesn't clearly support either party at this time.

The SMH has probably done more damage to the reputation of the Australian Labor party than any other organisation outside of the Labor party itself,

'on the side of Labor', idiot.

No they haven't. SMH telling Gillard to go was the best thing ever for the ALP. And you say the ABC is editorially 'independent' - who you joking? Maxine McKew ring a bell? Fact is most of them are left wingers and as demonstrated then go on to work for left wing parties

The Australian Financial Review is backing the Coalition to win the next federal election. It is a very pro business Newspaper. The AFR is backing the wrong horse. I am the type of guy that picks the pony from the wild herd. I predicted that Kevin Rudd would win in 2007, Julia Gillard would win 2010 and now I think Kevin Rudd will win the 2013 federal election. I think the Labor party will win with 51.12 per cent of the two party vote. I am predicting a knife edge election and factoring in 1 per cent swing to Labor. I think the public strongly backs Labor's strong economic credentials, trust and real action plans for the future. Vote 1. Labor 2. Greens and Liberals last.

NEWS FLASH: despite being under the guise of the everyman's paper, Sathius has just discovered that the AFR is in fact targeted towards those interested in business and finance.

NEWS FLASH: AFR is never an every man's paper it is unashamedly targeted at the highly intelligent people from the Corporate world or people who have a red hot consumption need for political news. The target market is very wealthy people and very intelligent people also known as brains and money. This market segmentation variable is the most profitable.

What's wrong with Abbott? Socialist Alliance is only committed to wealth redistribution and nationalising every industry out there. Scary stuff.

P.S I know who you are.
privatisation is scary stuff dude... if you get a rich, megalomaniac dick to run something important like a prison.... the inmates are gonna be abused by corrupt guards who don't have proper qualifications. People with lots and lots of money only want more and more. They give no shits to anything else.

so I guess this explains why prisoners are also victims of abuses of authority in public prisons too?

nobody ever complained in a gulag. they were all properly re-educated.

but i do see his point of turning a public institution into private hands eg look at serco
