Hey everyone, im doing The Arrival as one of my related texts for belonging and was wondering if anyone could help me with the techniques used in it or any notes on the Arrival.

Picture books have been over use in the past, and the markers know quite a bit about them, try go for something less known.

okay ill try looking for something different, thanks for the tip. for assessments i have had to do 1 written text, 1 visual. is it like that for the HSC?

Shaun tan in general has been quite overused in terms of belonging

However if you don't think you can get another related text then don't worry about it too much

No, they will ask for 1 and/or 2 related texts - they won't specify what type
