It is but it isn't :L The original leaned more towards how the research has impacted scientific understanding whereas the other one is about why there is research into it in the first place.

There are many reasons why we continue to research into artificial blood, it has many advantages over donated blood
-there is a lack of donations
-Artificial blood does not require any bloodtype matching
-Can be stored for longer periods of time, and does not have to be kept in the fridge
-is free of infections, and other risks (aka completely sterile)
-eg perflurocarbins

there are also inadaquacies in artificial blood right? what are they?
HBOC's --> Disintegrate into dangerous free radicals and monomers and dimers that can damage the kidney upon excretion
Disrupt certain physiological functions
PFC's --> Have to be emulsified before use
Can cause flu like symptoms
Overall artificial blood so far can only carry out the oxygen distribution function of blood whereas normal blood has several other important functions in relation to that.

Good work! Also PFC's, although they can carry a lot of oxygen, they can't release it.

Yeah its A. Reason? Because I don't think the collecting ducts can increase in length(not really sure)
Animals that live in a desert, such as kangaroo's tend to have longer collecting ducts than those that live in conditions in which there isn't much water availability. The longer the duct the more area there is exposed which results in more re-absorption.

Assess the reliability and validity of Mendel's experiments. his experiments were reliable and valid as he repeated his experiment numerous times keeping exact track of his results mathematically. He also experimented on the many characteristics of pea plants such as shape, height etc (not sure if that's validity)

Emphasis is shifting from cure to prevention in dealing with plant and animal diseases. Preventing a disease from occurring is much better than curing it as a disease which has occurred can cause permanent damage and can also spread throughout a population. Due to vaccinations, quarantine etc(methods that prevent a disease from occurring) there's been a reduce in plant diseases and animal diseases, eg. foot and mouth disease.
