I did all my homework during my free periods so I could use my time after school purely on study.
Although Maccas runs became more frequent as the year progressed.

It varies with each person. There is no set amount of time with studying - it's amount how much you get out of it.

Tbh I think too many people fall for the whole "X hours equates to Y ATAR". You should be putting in as much effort as you can to obtain the highest ATAR possible to ensure you get into your course. You don't want to take a shortcut by doing the least amount of study that you think will still get you an ATAR of 85, and then come up short. Study for as much as you can to make sure you get over your desired ATAR.

On average, about 4 hours a night. There would be some nights where I studied 6-7, and others where I only did 1-2 (Every Friday). And my ATAR goal is 95.

I studied to the point that I tried my best and am happy with myself, knowing there is nothing else I could have done more.

No Regrets.

I use my frees to start maths homework I never end up finishing...but sometimes I used them to sleep. Ideally, I would be fully productive and making immaculate notes for topics ahead. Frees are a good time to do readings for English too :)

any advice on note making or is there any links/files posted here regarding note making? Prefer someone with a high atar, for reliability :)

Maffs, maffs and more maffs. :D Jks, try be productive in your frees. It really helps with the never-ending workload associated with years 11 and 12.

Finish homework in free periods, otherwise it consumes your afternoons and study time :)

I'd like to say that a lot of people who drop (or just have frees) , just end up procrastinating and wasting their time during their frees...

I would be inclined to say that ' study during your frees and you can relax for a few more hours at home, or spend the extra time doing assessments.

Wider reading.

Eg. Basic philosophy, psychology, fiction

Or
Finish small homework junk

Or
Practice papers (it's never too early)

Or
Read from textbooks
