Standard English trials back = gg atar? (1 Viewer)

Got my trials back today and am extremely annoyed at English, its just too damn hard.
I ended up coming first for paper 2 with the highest mark but just when i think i actually might have done good in English for the first time in my life, paper 1 destroys any hope i had for a 70+ English mark. I failed both my essay and creative writing, now my overall is 67% which is awful in standard English and shows no improvement throughout high school as my English marks have stayed relatively the same. I just have no idea how to become better at this stupid pointless subject, which apparently scales terribly which i personally believe is unfair considering its difficulty.

So does this mean gg 80+ Atar?, if not wth can i do to improve paper 1, because its frustrating knowing
that this worthless subject is going to ruin my atar

Standard scales almost the same as advanced, just the aligning is very different. It is much harder to get a high band 5 or band 6 in standard than advanced. Your ranks are really important, your marks not so much, they get moderated by BOS. I mean if your school marks harsher than HSC standards than your internal marks will be modified to possibly higher marks (assuming your cohort does better in the HSC as opposed to your school exams). What's your English rank?
