Most of your subs (except for maths) do have some rote learning. And English is just the epitome of rote learning in the HSC with the memorising essay culture running riot - but even then - you still need to understand the techniques in analysis to manipulate your knowledge.

Radioactive decay, I think.
That's so far ahead. We are doing hydration of ethanol and stuff. Is that far behind

lol, there has to be a better reason than using a homosexual slur
Idk cause its not good for my health.

Also I used that on purpose.

I think its wrong when people get offended when you call something gay. Gay has two meanings now. Before gay meant happy. Now people use of when they don't like something. It doesn't mean they are homophobic. It really annoys me when people try to go overboard with being politically correct.

lol

it's not just because of political reasons, there's more to it. sure maybe some feel like it's okay to joke around using words like gay (hell, I know people know use the word retard but inadvertently hurt people who do have mental disablities). even I know friends of mine, who used the word Jews to replace the term stupid - but that's because they were idiots back then. idk, you can do what you want, but from I've experienced, mouthing out derogatory words (probs not gay as much) in the wrong context can come across as inconsiderate and immature
I agree with what you said, but on the other hand I don't think it's right to attack someone just because they've been using it once or twice.

Our society it appears to have embed these derogatory language into many teens and young adult's colloquial vocab - it's not the fault of the individual if they simply have been slightly more delayed than say you, in making or rather editing such words out of their word bank.

If you really want to get political, consider whether you've ever said 'mankind' instead of 'humankind' or 'policeman' instead of 'police (people)' etc. I think most people just accept the norm and don't give a second thought therefore they not necessarily wrong or immediately ignorant because their context has perhaps never challenged such terms. It's abit condescending to say so otherwise because it implies that you think your ideology is immediately better than someone else.

lol, that's a misguided view

sure, subjects like the histories, S & C, business, legal, etc. require rote

but others like economics, whilst being possible to memorise, won't help in the long run - it's better to understand
Legal is NOT rote lol

You need to learn to understand what a joke is and you need to understand that this is the internet

Because most users don't understand how it works and dont realise that people on it are not serious all the time. Also how some people behave on the internet is not a representation of how they are in real life. The real world and the internet are very different things. People need to understand to not take everything here seriously since this is not some serious political crap. Its a student forum. And when people write paragraphs on how saying "ghey" on an online forum is the worst thing ever to the point where they personally insult me is very wrong. I am just baffled lol. Clearly they are new to the internet.

You are gonna get rekt
I'm waiting for an essay from the English students ;)

This is so funny. You can make someone waste time writing paragraphs by saying "op is gay" or something.
