Given the store and target market, maybe it's the whole concept of taking something fundamental or a necessity, and making it fashionable and stylish- a way of supporting individualism. *shrugs*

Well with me, I regard feet a very important part of my body, and I try my best to have them taken care of so I can use them for my day to day activities and work.
I do have this slight interest for shoes, but rather than aesthetically pleasing shoes, I opt for the most practical and suitable for that specific job. I also avoid shoes which can cause long term damage to me or shoes which have no performance input that is superior in comparison to the other pairs of shoes I already have. I have roughly 7 pairs of footwear at the moment, all for different jobs.
Idk maybe you could be like me and like shoes for the reason I said above.
