Heard its cool. Will watch soon and report back! You guys should watch Gone Girl - I read the book it's super duper cool. And Mockingjay and The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies later this month and early decemember. You will cry.

It was just a brilliant movie. The best space movie I have seen so far.
It just makes you think about humanity and what would we do if Earth could no longer sustain us.

The physics involved in the movie is also very impressive and theoretically realistic. Most things explored in the movie are theoretically allowed in the laws of physics.

I think the general public would not enjoy this movie since it deals with a few difficult concepts such as relativity, worm holes, black holes and dimensions. If you are a science person and are interested in astronomy and physics, you will Absolutely love this movie.

The humans-that-mastered-the-5th-dimension thingo and the bookshelf wormhole was kinda confusing... I mean, humanity at that given point in time did not have a future, which would make it impossible for the future generation to have mastered the 5th dimension & for them to manipulate the past (because humans would be extinct because of blight).

there are a few errors made for the sake of plot. Its would be close to impossible to get it all perfect.


On an interesting note, I read somewhere that in high school christopher nolan hated maths and couldnt understand many concepts in it.

Goes to show that if you dont like maths in high school, that doesnt mean you can't make BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in your life

So I've actually done a research project in plausible time travel in science fiction, relating it to relativity and physical laws. I was trying to explain this mini thesis to someone last week and started getting really excited then they absolutely killed it by saying 'Like Interstellar, yeah?'

Saw it after my last exam with some friends, top quality movie. But yeah, I was discussing it with a friend afterwards and it seems to be more aimed at those with some sort of understanding of physics with the concepts that are in the movie, but they've done well enough for anyone with no knowledge of physics to still be able to follow the plot.

Even if it wasn't Nolan directing it, I'd still love it just for the themes and subject matter. I think it's sad that space exploration is so undervalued in society (US defence budget is something like 40x that of NASA). If the money spent on the unnecessary F-35 was spent on space, we would have been on Mars 2 decades ago.
