I recommend taking UQ, and resit the UMAT this year and try to get into a NSW med school. Even if you don't make it into a NSW school, unbonded is always better than bonded.

Offer: UNSW
UMAT: 84 percentile
Bonded/Unbonded: bonded
Special Considerations: EAS kid

Gonna call the med faculty tomorrow to see if I have a chance of being upgraded to unbonded in later rounds.
UNE is a NSW med school though (in the regional area).

edit: This means I get as much priority for internship placements as say, a student from UNSW right?

Offer: None
ATAR: 99.90
Umat: 99th percentile (204 total)
Bonded/Unbonded: None
Special Considerations: I am a blithering idiot. :haha::rotfl:
Damn. That is bad luck. If it makes you feel better, I had the same ATAR as you + 95th percentile and my only offer was UNE Bonded (my absolute last preference in terms of med here in NSW).
Hey, you still got UQ/Griffith and UTAS prob so it's still a great result :D

Yeah, internships are randomized. Only downside being international 'recognition' from what I've been told.

Still, well done mate!!

Issue is I couldn't exactly apply through anything with QTAC due to identity issues apparently. But I think I still have the Graduate Course Entry thingie at UniMelb available, so I guess I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I dont understand how people like you with your scores don't get accepted??? Was the interview really the downfall? Hearing these just make me more uneasy about getting in for next year haha..

Read the special considerations lol.
I've said some things in the interviews which I shouldn't have said. Some interviewers did appear quite ticked off by the end...

Hmm well I'll just leave a few tips that I didn't follow for future interviewees
1. Don't compare doctors to dentists in terms of pay.
2. Don't imply that doctors pretend to be empathetic.
3. Don't critique the questions they give you.
4. Don't mention your fallen high school enemies.

5. Don't finish your amazing speech about why you want to do med with "and that's why I want to study optom..OH SHIT NO MED SORRY"
*facepalm*

Would definitely depend on how you phrased yourself. But 2 is definitely a no no. Considering the interview is kind of testing that aspect of your personality.

Offer: Griffith University MD Provisional Entry (Nathan Campus)
ATAR: 99.50 (only requirement lel 2ez)
Nothing else to it tbh.
Cutoff for Gold coast campus was 99.55 this year
Wow Congratulations!! I really wanted to get into Griffith at Nathan Campus! Do you mind telling me your field positions and what subject results? I feel like that might give me a better idea of why my ATAR was not enough to get into this course. My heart was pretty much set on it.

Thanks :D
