hi everyone

i've always really wanted to go to macquarie uni for economics, and enrolled after main round.

friends & family have been pressuring me to consider sydney, and i recieved an offer in the recent round.

does it really matter which uni you go to? will i be disadvantaged at mq? will employers care?

Depends what 'matter' means. Yes, there will be certain perks of going into usyd/unsw - when basically you go into an internship and at least 5 people from your cohort is there, its just easier.

If travel isn't THAT much of an issue, I would go to usyd over MQ any day purely because of the opportunities you get at USYD.

But if travel time is too much, it wouldn't 'matter' too much for most jobs.

You will find people from every university at most "commerce" jobs with the majority being from usyd/unsw/uts

I would still go for U Syd if it's the same department. Most top end economic students come from better funded uni's.
