If you're ranked 18th in modern history, is it possible to still get a band 6 in the final exam, and can you beat the person who was coming say 10th in the final exam to get a higher final mark then them. Or does your ranking prevent you from doing so.
Because last year, there was a boy in my school who got a state rank in modern, but wasn't coming first in the course at school...and the person who came first got a band 6, but didn't get a state rank.
he was probably in top 5, and he was pretty smart.
I'm just really worried for a modern exam I just did, my acumulative rank is 6th but with this exam it might worsen possibly. I know I stuffed a few questions which could seriously impact my rank, how much is trials worth usually and can that significantly change people's ranks for the better? (that is if I do well)
