I always hear people adapting essays, but i have no idea how to adapt one. Can somebody please give out pointers on adapting essays. Srsly need to master this skill by the end of yr 11 or i can kiss my 91+ atar in the ass goodbye.

I guess it comes down to knowing your texts back to front, considering how your broad ideas to be manipulated to the question, and doing a few practice runs in the form of trying to mould your generic scripts to specific Q's.

Just wondering though, why are you adamant on memorising essays?

i have no choice lol i'm not naturally good at writing essays

which is why you should practice lol

and who says you don't have a choice? by that logic, all students in the state would have no choice but to memorise essays, but obviously each person's learning style is different

of course you'll need to memorise something (i.e. quotes or body paragraphs), but you just need to practice more to improve

memorising an essay without knowing how to manipulate your textual analysis embedded first is basically shooting yourself in the foot

like strawberrye says: answer the question and nothing but the question
