fkkkkk i'm so under prepared, don't even know how to answer thosei also had english today... for the first time ever in english i actually had ideas as to what to write... like duh it was all bs but at least it was meaningful bs! Um pretty happy with what i was able to do considering my lack of study for it
my questions were:
How do relationships alter the way we see the world?
and
Gwen Harwood shows deeper meaning in everyday activities and ordinary events. Discuss.
Yeah good luck with that!Wooh! That enthusiasm.
So glad I still have another weekend to procras- I mean study...
my school did a lot... and then we chose 2 each.fkkkkk i'm so under prepared, don't even know how to answer those
btw which poems did you do, my school is doing violets and Fadah And Child
woah thats so general omg what did you write about?Yeah good luck with that!
My essay question was: poetry is a powerful expression of ideas. Discuss.
Yeah I was so happy when it was that general! Went on about techniques (powerful expression) and the use of them to make ideas that stay in your mind.woah thats so general omg what did you write about?
like how does one even prove that something is a 'powerful expression of ideas'??
do you choose the 2 poems b4 actual test, because there is nothing normal about father and child. The persona is nutsmy school did a lot... and then we chose 2 each.
the ones to choose from were:
in the park
prize giving
violets
father and child
mother who gave me life
i chose violets because we went through it sooooo much and its ez and mother who gave me life because its got plenty of meaning but not as complicated to talk about as father and child
Your essay's ideas should revolve around the ideas portrayed in the quote. I generally like to stick the quote in in the conclusion.Wait, I've never learnt how to deal with essay q that has a quote in it. Do you stick the quote somewhere in the essay or something
do you have to use the entire quote? So you would say something like Thus in this sense the ideas portrayed in "quote".... ?Your essay's ideas should revolve around the ideas portrayed in the quote. I generally like to stick the quote in in the conclusion.
The problem with my quote was that it had ideas that i was not prepared for, so all my quotes related to a different idea. Thats my fault for not preparing enough but usually i manipulate the quote to my ideas but i couldnt even do it this time
yeah i went through two poems before and picked out certain quotes that i memorised and did some thinking about a general-ish thesis that i could incorporate into most questions somehow. yeah father and child is cray...and there are two friggin parts to it so yeah i didnt choose that... but theres a lot to it and a lot of fdifferent routes to go down when you analyse it.do you choose the 2 poems b4 actual test, because there is nothing normal about father and child. The persona is nuts
which question did you choose and can you tell my briefly what you wrote?
I just pray they won't ask me about memories
Yep, insert the WHOLE quote somewhere within your essay, whether it's your intro, bodies or conclusion. I hate using it in the intro cause i find it really generic as everyone uses the quote as their thesis. I like to create my thesis based of the quote and in the conclusion, just state how my thesis is a direct reflection of the values explored in the quote.do you have to use the entire quote? So you would say something like Thus in this sense the ideas portrayed in "quote".... ?
well at least it's overwith!I just finished english, so done
I churned out 2 pages of creative in 10 min, that was like the only redeeming factor in my test gg
