I never did a Yr 10 yearly, they started teaching prelims after 5.3 half yearly

@ Kolmias: Similarity is an HSC bully favourite in 2U maths btw
According to my Maths teacher, similarity is practically useless in the modern day anyway.

The marks I got wrong were mostly stupid errors.

Quite rarely does the case of dilation become important enough for similarity to be useful, but the HSC still bullies people with it anyway.

how many pages should we be averaging come HSC, all my subjects are very essay and writing based. Right now i can write a page every 10 minutes so that's 4 pages in 45 minutes, i could push that to 5 but everyday im getting faster at essay writing. I think i remember hearing by the time you're sitting your hsc you should be able to write 8 in 40 minutes, i see that very possible for me in the future.

We're making an assumption that he wants a band 6.

For a band 5, the length can be much shorter because the band 6 student can
a) Endure
b) Have more quotes to use
c) Write more paragraphs
d) Analyse further

My essays were ~950words
more like 900-1000 though I dont know about writing subjects other than english
Oh no a band 6 student who keeps practicing essays can demolish 1200 words

(And yes, adapting NOT COPYING)

The average handwriting size should aim for SIX pages of writing.

Being able to write five by the trials is a sign of good progress.

Note: I've seen 8 page essays before, and they're not even Extension 1 English

Meh, don't use the lined paper in your exercise book, use any exam booklets you see.

1cm spacing, not 0.8mm or 0.7mm

I found that my handwriting goes smaller with smaller spacing.

So 6 pages of the exam booklets? That's alright I can already more or less do that then since I can churn out 4+ pages with lines half the width of the exam booklets
