Hi fellow forum members.

As I prepare to finish junior school and am beginning to ponder on what device I should use for my last 2 years of schooling. Should I get the new Ipad Mini 4 or a laptop. I obviously want to keep weight and portability in mind but also the features. Any help would be most appreciated.

How fast do you wish to work on your device? typing speed is not a feature of touch devices.

Definitely a laptop, but honestly, you wouldn't need either.

Laptop all the way. You need to save your documents for school. There are lightweight laptops out there, you just need to research about it.

I love my iPad Mini but for school you're better off getting a laptop as you can type faster, save documents, use USBs, print, etc. more easily. Having an iPad for these activities would probs get annoying.

laptops are way more practical than any tablet devices from my previous experiences

Look at what your school prefers and see what you would be needing it for. If you're going to be typing up long essays and such then get a laptop. If you are going to be only reviewing pdfs etc. then get an ipad.

My preference would be a laptop because it's less restrictive than an ipad.

I'd probably get a laptop as I find that they are a lot more versatile.
