Yeah you'll need to lower your science ranks by 2 (each of the three) so then you can get 5th place for english

Oh god,

You mean to say maths is perfect, how about if I could improve a math rank instead of science?

Well, you're already top 5 for maths so isn't that good enough?

Also, I think english is the most important subject for the HSC so you'll need to focus more on that and drop ranks in other subjects

Try to "study smarter" rather than "study harder" so then you can gain a solid rank in all your subjects (i.e. doing past papers. focusing on your weaknesses rather than your strengths, and try to understand the content rather than memorise, know your syllabus dotpoints inside out)

Why would you need to drop ranks in one subject to get better at another? You should try to maintain your already amazing ranks and just look towards improving your English (which is already superb). That means that you'd need to look at what kind of study habits work for you, and avoid doing things that seem like a waste of time.

Well, it's kinda hard to do that and you need to balance it out more evenly

Of course haha, but you can't really predict how far your ranks would drop if you start paying less attention to subjects that you're good at, so I would suggest not trying to let ranks drop in one subject to try to rank higher in another

lel IMO just keep doing what you're doing in the subjects you're doing well, and don't do what you're doing in the subjects that you are
work out what's holding you back and try to fix it
