have fun in uni where everything is a "group" task.
Don't give me nightmares! lol
Seriously, though, do people at uni tend to take group work more serious? Because at school I'm stuck with a bunch of idiots that don't contribute and get nothing done and I end up doing shit which they get credit for. Really peeves me off.

That's not too bad Sien, but when it's for a graded assessment and your in a group with someone from Zimbabwe who doesn't speak English (why are they in a private school even, like how do they keep up?), the school bimbo, and an arrogant dick that says how good he is but brings nothing to the table - it's a different matter.

Especially when the group to my left has 4 Aussies that are ranked high and the group to my right is my dear friends that the teacher separated me from :(

Lol it was graded
:>
Left it to the top ranked students to do it (who happens to be my friends, so huehuehue)
But group work was only worth 5 marks, there was still a 45 mark exam after

nope, doesn't really change much. I was put in a group with internationals in my tutorial, and I literally did all the work because they didn't say a single word.

So what. I m sure she didn't ask what cylinder is just for fun. What's the harm in teaching and helping others? Seems like you have quite a frustrated school time while you should be trying to chill out a bit and enjoy.

EDIT: I probably didn't know what cylinder meant couple of years back. In fact I didn't know any English at all but I wasn't one of those students who is afraid of what others might think and I kept asking questions.

Because we are in YEAR 13 and have been using cylinders since year 7. The teacher done a demonstration with a cylinder but she was too busy texting, so had to ask what one was.
I don't go to school to explain concepts to other people, I go there to learn. I take school seriously because my parents actually have to work their arses off to send me to the school I go to, and I want it to pay off.

So when someone isn't paying attention and they don't care because their parents have money and they can fall back on them, I don't care if I'm not indulging them, because I actually want to get a head start.

If you have almost 12 years of schooling and not know what a cylinder is, you have problems

The way you said it above sounded pretty offensive, as if you are trying to make fun of her. Don't have to be so frustrated.

Maybe the person knew what cylinder is in their language, I don't think that means they have problem and how do you know they have had 12 years of schooling? only if it was that simplistic for everyone...

you have been consistently learning about shapes and shit through out high school maths, that is almost 6 YEARS of schooling
I consistently failed most of my classes in primary (mostly basics in my primary reports) ie drop kick, i knew what a cylinder was
Let's be real here, this person is a spoilt drop kick who doesn't do shiet, so yes, that person has problems

And I'm not racist btw, I'd be more understanding with the boy from Zimbabwe, I was just saying I don't understand how they do not speak English and was wondering how they can stay on top of their work.

I feel like you are just trying to defend your point rather than trying to understand where I am coming from.

Are you seriously saying a dropkick wouldn't know what a cylinder is? I am sure even a 12 year old kid who has been brought up in Australia would know what a cylinder is but the point here is PinkStrawberry talked about someone from Zimbabwe or something didn't know what a cylinder is and that simply implies to me that she's new to the language. No I don't think that person would have any problems simply because they don't know English lol

Ok best this person how no problem what so ever,
Just not knowing what a cylinder is,
Speaking only English
From a privileged background
Hmm that's normal

I still stand by what I said tbh because you said that before PinkStrawberry wrote about the girl. Although I am surprised that she wouldn't know what a cylinder is being in Australian education system for that long time.

Bruh even the drop kickiest international student ik knows what a cylinder is
You had at least 4yrs to learn maths
there's a difference between not knowing and forgetting
Even then how does one forget what a cylinder is
._.
Idk where you have been but that's not normal around my area

lol where did you get that 4 years from? and where did you get the idea that he/she had learned it? I am talking before pinkstrawberry posted about her but you generalised everyone. Of course no one would forget what a cylinder is if they have learned it. You are contradicting yourself lol
