Is it possible for me to become a child psychiatrist with a bachelor of psychology from UNSW? Is it necessary to do a degree in Medicine to become a psychiatrist?

Since a psychiatry is a doctor/medical specialty, I don't believe there is!

You need to be a medical doctor. A psychiatrist is an expert in mental health. They diagnose mental illnesses, analogous to a cardiologist who diagnoses circulatory illnesses.

There is absolutely no other way.
