Hi,

Everyone who has moved out of home and is living in a sharehouse or whatever, roughly what are your weekly expenses excluding rent?

320 sharehouse
680 serviced apartment

I'm moving out to my own apartment again in 2 weeks. I expect living expenses to sit around 600-900 p/w.

Try the central coast, good lifestyle, affordable housing and about an hour and a bit on train.

Expenses other than rent... I'd imagine the main costs would be food and transport, and depending on the arrangements you may need to contribute to cleaning costs/products. I know some sharehouses have a cleaner who does the common areas but not all have this.

Don't forget initial costs of furniture if not furnished, as well as moving in costs involved if you need to move either large items or a lot of items.
