Any thoughts on this question-

A requirements prototype is built during the development of a new system

What is the role of the requirements prototype?
A. To simplify the system for participant training
B. To compare the new system with the old system
C. To understand the essential features of the system
D. To determine the technology requirements of the system

Tossing between C and D

I had trouble with this one too. But my reasoning was C because you determine the technology requirements of the system in other phases eg: feasibility study.

But wouldn't you determine the technology requirements before the feasibility study.. the feasibility study is about assessing whether those requirements can be met or not and risks associated. I went with D because the wording of C was off to me, like if it said "To understand the essential features required by the system" I would have definitely picked it. But the wording made me think they were saying the system is made and now the prototype is used to help them understand features. However I'm not sure, it probably is C. I think I just overthought it

I thought of that as well. Isn't developing a prototype done in one of the final stages of the SDC? You said that we determine the technology requirements before the feasibility study so...

Don't take my word for it though. This question was as confusing to me as it was to you. Oh well, it's just a one mark question we probably shouldn't stress out that much :)

Nope, the requirements prototype is built in the 'Understanding the Problem' stage, before the planning. Its purpose is to allow participants to use it as a means of determining what the new system requires.

Oh jokes, I got confused in the wording. You're most likely right. RIP me haha

I hope since I did get some other easy questions wrong 😭
Yea man this one was different to all the previous ones. I mean we never had 6 mark questions before lol. Also, what did you pick for the very first multiple choice question? We never went that deep into flat file databases...

Ahahah yeah 6 markers were odd.
Oh that was character--> field--> record --> file

Are you a y10 accelerant or from year 12?

Hm, I think I put C for this one? To build the prototype, wouldn't you already know what technology is required? But then again, it could be D in terms of understanding what technology would be needed to actually create the system. Yeah idk, the multiple choice for this was actually hard, previous years were easier in my opinion.
