it is often recommended to revise content immediately after learning it. how can you have time to memorise and write up notes for every subject, every day?

Perhaps there is a need for a change in study strategy - are you sure it’s recommended to revise content immediately after learning it?

Revision is normally one of the later stages of effective study and is preceded by becoming familiar with content/concepts taught and homework/assessment completion.

We are looking at 2 possible solutions in this case:

1- Reallocate time for each of the things that you need to do according to difficulty/length of each.
2- Allocate more study time for your subjects in general.

Effective time management in your case is very important, and will be the reason behind your success.

Nah the Neymar pfp was temporary, I wanted to celebrate our victory against Bayern and how well he played.

Yeah those injuries made Bayern really vulnerable and was ultimately the reason they lost but I think that if Neymar was just a bit luckier with his finishing, the second leg wouldn't have been as close.

Don’t worry I won’t leave you with something as vague as that hahaha. In my opinion though, I think that’s more of a choice kind of thing and it boils down to how much work you have on your plate. With notes, I personally write my notes on the weekend and during the week I mainly focus on the content I’m learning and try to understand it as well as I can whilst also revising past topics. To be honest, writing notes during the week is a time waster as you’re spending roughly 20 minutes up to sometimes even an hour a day rewriting your notes from class when you could be more productive.

your tip about writing notes on the weekend is really helpful!! That is literally where i'm losing so much of my time because i feel the need to update them every day. the only issue is, if i wanted to actually revise throughout the week, how could i do so without the notes? hmmmm.... maybe i could write my notes on Saturday and revise them on Sunday? (my revision process consists of turning my notes into mindmaps and then doing LCWC).
then after school, i could focus on answering practice questions....

but like even if i do manage my time effectively, i still don't see how there's time to write notes, study them and do practice questions for every subject that day

so then what do i do .... notes, revision or practice questions???? like i've been fine up all year so i don't know why i'm freaking out all of a sudden but i just feel like i'm missing something either way...

say i have 3.5 hours to study
it takes me half an hour to make notes for each subject - that's like 3 hours gone - and i still didn't get practice questions in

i have read lots of conflicting information and now i'm confused, i just don't want to miss out on anything

would it be sufficient for me to write up class notes in the afternoon and then maybe revise/practice questions during the weekend? or am i missing the 'study' aspect.... does that count as study??

or should i write my notes and revise them after school and then practice questions on Saturday?

and then i could look over the rest of the year's content on sunday??

i'm just obsessing over the organizational aspect of study and what i should be specifically doing after school

Do you only get 3.5 hours to study? I see this as the main problem.

Regardless of the order in which you try to complete your tasks, I think that the time you're currently allocating will be the main limitation - it's just not enough, especially when considering the subjects that you're doing and the tasks you have to complete for each.

If you can't study for more than 3.5 hours, this sounds like a good solution.

This may sound stupid, but when you say write up notes does that mean what you've learnt in each subject throughout the day and constantly updating them to study for exams?

around 10pm-12am, I can function with 5 hours of sleep.

if I pull an all-nighter though ill just take a few naps throughout the day.

Try not to pull all-nighters. Sleep for regular hours as all-nighters are not good for your body.

If note making is a problem, just get notes online, try get notes which are written by someone who has done well in that subject and while in class if your teacher mentions anything that isnt on your notes just write it on them. This would help you save time writing them and spend more time doing past paper questions and actually applying your knowledge which is a lot more helpful. When you start doing past papers i recommend you start with open book, no timed conditions and as you get better add the restriction (ie closed book, time limit + closed book, 15 mins less than the allowed time + closed book...)
