Does anyone know any LCMDIs that could be used for a paragraph about divorce? I'm talking about the 'Kiss and Make up' Clause for my positive.

- The Matrimonial Causes Act 1959 CTH (highly ineffective- divorce had to be on the grounds on 'fault', and amicable resolution wasnt encouraged+ divorcing couples had to be living under separate roofs prior to lodging an application)

- Family Law Act 1975 CTH (highly effective- s48 of the Act established the irretrievable breakdown of marriage as grounds for divorce, thus eliminating marital 'fault' e.g. adultery as a criterion, previously under the Matrimonial act + for Kiss and Make-up clause, you could say it's an effective mechanism of encouraging an amicable resolution- specifically a period of up to 3 months following the Decree Absolute stage of Divorce)

Relate Divorce to the consequences part of the syllabus (children + property) for a better response:

- Family Law Amendment (Shared Parental Responsibility) Act 2006 CTH (for children)- highly effective in encouraging separating parents to fulfil their parental responsibility (establishment of 65 family relationships centres across Au + parenting plans/orders as last resort)

- Property (Relationships) Act 1984 CTH [for property]: fair property allocation for same-sex couples (recognised as defacto back then). u could also talk about the Hoffman case + its effectiveness in tackling property matter in a fair and equitable manner between each spouse through certain considerations (check out the criterion for property court decisions following divorce)
