My teacher mentioned this as a side note to graphing some questions, but we passed over it really quickly and I haven't been able to figure out what they meant by that. Anyone have any idea on what this concept is and how to use it?

e.g. if the derivative approaches zero that will mean graph is approaching a constant value

lim(x->infinity) 1/x =0

lim(x->infinity) -x^-2 =0

e.g. y=2x

lim(x->infinity) 2 = 2

This means as x-> infinity, y-> infinity since the gradient is positive.
