I didn't apply for early entry (because I'm an idiot) and now all my friends are getting in. I played myself so hard and I'm now really worried for my future HAHAHAH T_T. I'm so stressed I'm not gonna do well in the hsc because I literally don't have anything to fall back on now. I applied for Western early entry VERY last minute but that's it.

Anyways I guess I'm just ranting because I'm literally the biggest clown. Gonna change my UAC courses to ones that have lower ATAR requirements. Has anyone else not applied for early entry? How are you guys feeling about the HSC and how are yall studying for it?

Omg! How come you didn't apply? I think maybe ACU, Notre Dame might still be taking early entry. Perhaps there are other unis too, check in case!

I've applied to a few early entry and haven't really gotten the course I want (Law) since it's high ATAR so I've been putting some other random courses too.

Honestly I'm so overwhelmed for HSC. I've barely been studying as I have no more motivation left and I just want it to be over ...

Particularly online school has really ruined things for me this year because I was thriving in the school environment and at home, I just become depressed hahaha. Screw COVID ugh

Well, I was so set on going UNSW but I only just realised that there's a high chance I won't be getting in (I'm a bit dense, grade A clownery). Yeah, I think I'm gonna apply for Notre Dame just in case.

I agree, with online school I just couldn't get a routine going since I was so used to studying in libraries after school

Just remember that internal program transfer esp in UNSW is quite easy to do!! So don't stress, because everyone in uni is at a different pace so you wont feel left behind or anything <3

i didn't really apply to any except for a UNSW portfolio entry, and UTS and WSU really last minute. i didn't think i should bother since my year 11 marks weren't exceptional, but definitely getting fomo atm seeing everyone get offers AHAHA

No, but if you submit a portfolio they may consider you for an offer if you receive an atar within 10 points of the LSR

Would a bachelor of science for education count? This is the first time I’m hearing about this, is this different to their SRS early entry?

This is a pathway that increases your chances of receiving an offer to study your chosen degree due to the fact that UNSW will consider your portfolio submission in addition to your ATAR. As far as I know, to study Science with a focus on Education at UNSW, you will have to enrol in UNSW's Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Education. This double degree prepares you to become a high-school teacher, specialising in science or maths.

This double degree prepares you to become a professional high-school teacher, specialising in science or maths.

Yes this is different to UNSW SRS which is an equity scheme that requires eligibility to be met before you can apply. In saying that, people that apply for the UNSW SRS still need to submit a portfolio for certain courses but it differs in that you receive an early conditional offer with a lower ATAR requirement where as this scheme allows your portfolio to be considered along side your ATAR for an offer in the main rounds.
