Hi, I'm a year 11 student from Sydney Technical High School. We had a graduate in 2018 get an ATAR of 99.95 (the most recent one), with 94 in 4U math, 98 in 3U math, 96 in english advanced, and 96 in both chemistry and physics (maybe one of them is 97, I forgot!)
That being said, obviously I know I need to dig deeper to get a 99.95, but how FAR am I now? Our school is ranked in the early 40s (selective), and my marks for my prelim assessments come as:
Adv math: 88/90, rank =3
Ext 1 math: 64/66, rank 2
Chemistry: 70/75, rank =1
Biology: 73/75, rank 1
= means tied with someone(s) else.
I will take 4u math and drop advanced
I haven't gotten my english advanced back, but I'm guessing around a 17/20, unsure about my rankings
The highest ATAR in 2022 was a 99.7, and he was the DUX of the school (obviously)
With these marks I think I can control my internals after trials are done, but nothing is guaranteed, lol.
But back to the question, how far am I? What ranks should I hover for? What can I do early on? Thank you guys.
