Yeah a lot of undergrads get paid to do research, just make sure you join the right program.

I'm intrigued. Are your codes patented or is it a one off payment kind of thing. Kinda rough when some major companies use your code and make millions whilst the payment is measly.

It's more like scholarship and internship payments. Some casual employment like research assistant as well.

We didn't patent this work. Maybe we could've, I don't know. That's certainly not up to me to decide, I'm in no position to demand.

If anything, I feel lucky that my supervisors allowed me to pursue this research problem in the first place. They certainly could've done it without me, and published it even faster.
