Can someone explain why for (a) the answer is 9.8sin5??

Is this because the accelerated is restricted to down the table??

shouldn't acceleration always be gravity (9.8)???

The ball is on a slanted table, it’s like if it was on an inclined plane. The table is at an angle of 5 degrees to the horizontal so it’s kinda like one of those questions with a ball on a slope, you can ignore the projectile motion for that part of the question
