ALOS I HAVE GENERAL QUESTIONS
- can we state AM GM inequalities greater than three (and even quote the general term?) if the question doesnt give it to us.
- how to not fail in mechanics? i cant do any question that involves mf those pulley string stuff or that plane stuff or anything where u need to have physics knowledge. once a question had a pulley pulling two pulleys and i wanted to die.
- in projectile motion if they give it to us in vector form can we just convert to x y form? its easier in x y form and less annoying to draw that stupid as vector i j sign shi

Interesting, it seems like you can't use AM-GM inequality without proof going by Terry Lee textbook. Personally I think you should be able to use it without proof.

- don’t think so but it doesn’t take very long anyway
- have confidence
- yes

confidence isnt gonna resolve those wierd ahh forces for me now it it

btw for the simple harmonic motion questions.
like where they say a tide starts at 10 metre and high tide at 16 bla bla blah
u can instead of setting centre of motion at 13 u can set that as zero right
then the extremeties would be +- 3? i like doing it that way with COM at zero

you can set anything at zero but why

ALSO for SMH
can we state v^2 = n^2 ... yeah that formula or do we have to prove it first before using
and do i have to find all the values like n, a and stuff by making the equations or can i just instantly make the V^2 equation and then just use that instead?

I’d say prove it

for part C i know you would:
- find what time P1 reaches this terminal velocity
- then equate this time with part b) to solve for the velocity of particle 2 right.

BUT IK THIS MIGHT BE A STUPID QUESTION BUT HEAR ME OUT WHAT IF YOU
- find WHERE P1 reaches this terminal velocity
- find the v(x) equation for P2
- and then equate the x for both to find the velocity of P2.
would you also be able to do that?

yeah maybe it would work, but why would you do that when you an use part b
