ikr my school used to be pretty good, could get a couple state ranks but now its just deteriorated and there's low motivation on staff and students part. Probably doesn't help that I live in the area of, dare I say, those schools so all of the talent is likely plucked by them

schools don't get a list of their students' atar? that's new to me

can 100% confirm they don’t, but they do get all of the marks so they could just put it in an ATAR calculator to get an estimate or just ask you

NESA does marks and UAC does ATAR, NESA gives the marks to schools so they can analyse the results for improvement and weak areas etc but UAC doesn’t care since their data wouldn’t really help anyway

My school posts everyone who got an ATAR above 90 on instagram
they also print out everyone's HSC marks and display them in the library for the teachers to come in and look at them at like 7am tf

Idk if this is normal but my school holds a party for yr12s to come back on the morning of atar release which is just a trick to get everyone to come back and tell the school their atar
