Hey everyone!
I’m travelling to Slovenia this winter and looking for recommendations on things to do. I’ve heard it’s a winter wonderland with plenty of activities, but I’m not sure where to start.
Obviously, skiing is on the list, but are there any specific resorts you’d recommend? I’m also interested in other winter activities like snowshoeing or even ice climbing. Is Lake Bled worth visiting in the winter, or should I prioritize other spots?
I’d love to hear about any unique winter experiences – whether it's dog sledding, visiting thermal spas, or anything else I might be missing.
Looking forward to your suggestions!

Slovenia in winter is magical. For Slovenia winter activities like skiing, I highly recommend Vogel Ski Resort near Lake Bohinj – it’s scenic, affordable, and less crowded than some of the bigger resorts in Europe. As for Lake Bled, it’s definitely worth visiting even in winter. The snow-covered landscape makes it feel like a fairytale, and if the lake freezes over, you might even be able to walk on it!
