Also yk for this question:
View attachment 45527
It falls under the "investigate the response of a named Australian plant to a named pathogen through practical and/or secondary-sourced investigation" right?

What is the general active plant response im so lost. i thought we just needed to no the response of a named few examples (as inferred by the fucking dotpoint)
yeah that's the right dp
you need to know difference between active and passive plant response
active is usually physiological involving cell responses and stuff
passive is usually surface defense: chemical and physical barriers like antimicrobial film or waxy cuticle

you need to remember the difference between active and passive immunity. active means that something is done to actively combat the pathogen. i believe it would be B because the others are either not a part of plants, or are passive

what specific example did you do for your test? try to compare your answer to suggested answer/marking criteria if available to you

you guys are all cooked - plants dont have an active immune response theyre plants mate its all innate (same thing no matter what pathogen) - also this explains sanger sequencing easily its not that hard

nah plants only have innate, but there's a difference between barriers and response which ig is what you're confusing - ie trichomes vs pattern triggered immunity

Is it really important that we need to know the structure of a nephron (loop of Helene)? It never appears in any HSC exam
