Ranked Middle but scoring high in externals (internals will pull you down, but your external mark pulls you back up)not sure how internal moderation works, if I'm ranked kinda middle but then i do really good for hsc how would that affect my internal score? or what if I'm a bit higher ranked but i do bad for that hsc subject?
Saying for example out of 100 students in a cohort:
Your External Mark (After Alignment) = 90
Internal Mark (E.g. Your in the middle so say rank 50) (After Alignment) = 75 (Essentially the 50th highest mark in your cohort)
Overall HSC Mark = (90+75)/2 = 82.5 --> Goes to 83 when you get your results
Same thing for you being ranked highly internally but doing bad for hsc (internals will pull you up, but your external mark keeps you down)
And you keep your external mark, so maximising what you have in your control is the best someone can do
