i think u probs are thinking too much about the future try to like stay in the present a bit more and think of something else because as humans we tend to do something called catastrophizing where we only think about the ways things can go wrong. This form of pessimism is a bit of a survival instinct which is aligned to the old saying that instructs to "hope for the best, plan for the worst." Basically we think this way because we want to know that we are safe and secure. We want insurance that even in the worst of it we can make it through and so we ponder with such thoughts. Then again despite thinking in such a way seems to be beneficial from a tactical point of view, as you said before you're stressed and it's either directly causative to or contributing to your lack of sleep (i'm not too judge tho e.g. my 3am message earlier today). So I just say try to think of something else other than HSC or marks or whatnot IF it is hurting you in some sense, maybe that'll work. This kinda thing is a very natural response and many people including myself suffer from it as well.

wow I thought it was just me- i am an over-thinker and i'm hoping that once school starts up again (i start on tuesday) i can get a proper full night- but all my life i've had random issues with my sleep so i've just gotten used to it i guess.

this is real because i always sleep worse in the holidays even though ive usually got no school work to be stressing about. like last christmas holidays i would literally go out for a walk at like 4 am and come back at 6 i was waking up so early...

I think my parents would die if i went for a walk at 4 am in my area- but that would honestly be amazing. I love walks lol but not as much as i love my non-existent sleep schedule lmao
