Hello! I need urgent help in helping me decide which school i should go to considering I'm enrolled in two

At my current school I've only been there for 1 year so I'm not close to a lot of the teachers/students since I cam from overseas.
Also it has a poor rank and I'm not doing that good in it in terms of academics. I'm top 20 in all my subjects except history but I don't think this is enough especially that my cohort is not as good.

At the new school its top 160 and it generally seems like I can benefit from it in terms of academia and ranks (to my judgement). However the only demotivating factor is that my extension math class starts at 7:20am and I live quite far (39min by car - 1hr by public transport if everything is on time).

I've seen a similar post about this regarding a girl that had the same problem as me (since I didn't want to create an account at first) but the only option I have is to come first at my current school. Coming first, I find, to be a challenge considering I'm not that well accustomed to the school academic environment but I would leave this for other opinions.

Everyone around me (family, friends and tutors) are telling me to do what I want (which is more 60% stay and 40% move) and my parents in particular do not seem to care about the school I attend as long as I am academically thriving.

Thank you.

what do you mean by this?
I apologise if it wasn't clear, what I meant was: I think coming first internally (as I was told) will benefit me however I find it to be difficult as, I previously mentioned, am not used to the academic environment of my current school but I don't know if this is an enough reason so I said that I'll leave this for others (such as yourself) to judge.

what makes you think you'll be more used to the other school's environment? That is, if you haven't been there yet

also no need to apologise

what rank is your school now? if its like not more than maybe a 40 or so rank difference from the school you want to move to i think changing schools will honestly not have *that* much value in terms of rankings purely...

another thing with the early classes, if you're an morning person i think you could make it work -- but like if its taking you an hour to get there in the mornings and probably an hour to get home at the end of the day, you're going to have to sleep very early to be healthy which may make your day seem really short. this may make it seem like u dont have enough time to study or really do the things u enjoy (i.e. maybe you have to wake up at 5:30, and your school day finishes at 3 so you get home at 4... to get 8 hours of sleep you have to sleep at like 9:30, that gives you 4.5 hours to eat dinner, study, and everything else you need/want to do). if you're really good at time management there is a significant chance this works out for you, but its just something to think about
