And I'm sure many in James Ruse are targetting a 99.95, which would be impossible if agriculture counted.

I'm sure 95% of people in James Ruse DID NOT INTEND to do blue collar farming and agriculture stuff.

People purely picked James Ruse for its academics.

ok? no? if ur not good at ag, dont do ag. if you like ag, do it, its not that deep, it clearly enables people to still achieve highly

obviously mx2 and other stem subjects attract more capable students, thus taking more of the higher bands– this doesnt mean ag 'pulls you down', if you do well, ur atar will reflect it

Even then, you shouldn't be doing subjects that have an atar cap at all. All that implies is that it scales absolutely horribly, which is evident and visualsed in the graph.

scaling is most helpful if you're not planning on getting a 100 on any exams - that is pretty much everybody.

There is no such thing as an ATAR cap. The “maximum” ATAR is NOT the maximum possible ATAR. It is the highest observed ATAR in that cohort of students (i.e. of a “sample”). It is definitely possible for a student to choose Agriculture and get 99.95. It just doesn’t happen often due to student selection biases.

Do not confuse correlation and causation when interpreting statistics. Also, be aware of your personal biases in trying to twist your interpretation of statistics to suit a particular narrative.

It's only accurate if the marks are in range of the published marks in the UAC report.

yes we did sm farming back in stage 5 idk abt stage 6 tho
we even raised chickens (now theres ducks and sheep)

wow ur school must have a lot of pracs. I think in my school it was at most once a week it think. But idk cause I didn't do food tech

well for me we did prac every single lesson for ag, only times we did theory was when both teachers were away lmaooo

Agriculture is actually a great career in Australia, but obviously it might not be the career path that academically-inclined Ruse kids would take. Ag is a huge industry here, and farmers can earn a LOT
