I used to be really good at maths, ranked 8th in a top 5 school in year 11. But i got my ext 1 and 2 marks back and they are some of the worst ive seen, each only 5% above the median

I feel like I'm falling so far behind and I don't ever feel lost during class and I'm studying a lot, and my techniques were fine last year. They were both only weighted 15% so can I bounce back from this? How do i even improve after this I feel like I'm doing everything right but clearly im not if I'm flunking this bad. I finished 7th to dux in my school and now I feel like such a failure and i really need to learn how to improve. People always say that bad marks can be overcome but its not looking too good since I abominated two consecutive exams. After failing my first one (ext 1) i told myself that I would improve and that i could bounce back, i set all my goals and studied like crazy for e2 which was 3 weeks later, and it looks like i've failed that one even more.

don't be so hard on yourself!! above the median at a top 5 school is absolutely AMAZING especially in a subject like ext 2 and 1!!
all you can do is consider why you lost marks, do lots of revision and practice over the holidays of the concepts your exams were on and keep moving forward.
don't be discouraged, there's always a way to improve. 😊 ❤

either or both 1) problem-solving lacks -> do more and harder problems 2) poor exam technique -> do papers under proper exam conditions & mark harshly
