Re: distinguished acheievers list
It does, actually, that's the beauty part! So there's pretty much a rollcall of the class of 09 in the paper tomorrow :)
Well, it's a clever topic, first off!
I think heterosexual v. homosexual could work for cross cultural...maybe survey people from both groups and see if homosexuals have a stronger sense of GBLT people in a near vacinity...
:)
Participant Observation? Ahh... best of luck :) and it's a clever idea!
I'd suggest sticking this question in a survey, myself, if you haven't done so already, but here's my answer.
I think my gut reaction would be "whore", but one of my best friends on earth has had a couple of pregnancy...
My personal view is that it's too broad! I think Nature Vs Nurture is a good starting point but it definitely needs to be narrowed.
A girl at my school did it but based on twins, and how similar she and her twin sister were.
You could look at something like that maybe?
I think it's definitely too broad, and 'time' isn't a cross cultural component as such. I think what you're maybe getting at is how the internet affects socialisation compared to what generations without the internet are like in terms of socialisation...but yeah. Veeery broad :P
I would select...
I would say definitely stick with the old one. The other one doesn't seem related to Soiety and Culture, and you'd have a hard time measuring productivity with technology against productivity without (unless you asked a friend to do their next assignment by hand... you'd have one less friend...
