    exam question predictions 2009

I'd probably guess Manhattan project (If you're doing Q2Q) as i've only seen it once through in the past HSC exams, but I hope it's Pauli and Heisenberg's contribution..

Would you reccomend doing maths extension 2?

I reckon you should give it a try if you have a passion for maths. Doesn't really matter though cause you can always drop it.

    8 marker biology

Did anyone talk about GENETICS? or just focused on environment? I related genetics with mendel and artificial pollination created different phenotypes, short, long, round, wrinkled, etc..

    8 marker biology

It depends on how well your answer is, if you mentioned all those and filled up the lines you should be getting a decent mark. I did hydrangeas and growth as well. I also did mendel and just general comments on environment such as sun affecting our skin, etc. I'd say a decent mark 6-8?

    OMG @ the workload

I'd recommend you dropping a subject ninepercent. When I did 14 units at the very beginning I was lucky to drop 2 units before half yearlies then another 2 units before trials. It was hell and I would've died doing 4U because I was mostly doing 4U (4U you need a lot of time).

    why does e=mc^2?

Why? You don't have to know 'why' just know that it works. Einstein probably just developed mathmetical relationships and came up with E=mc^2.

    Help! Magnetic Field Question

Use this formula derived from JJ thompson R = mv/qbsin(theta) Where theta = 90 (perpendicular) Sub in values and you can get radius :) Derivation: F = mv^2/r = qvbsin(theta) rearranging to make R the subject R -> mv^2/qvbsin(theta) =...

    General Thoughts: Biology

Uhm.. unlikely. But the lines are an indication of how concise your answer should be...so going overboard is unnecessary but don't think you'll get deducted for it.
