• I split this message up because it went over 1000 characters or something :p Most people at school consider our lessons to be okay but I consider all practical lessons to be horrible. Last year was worse, our teacher found out that I couldn't catch anything (I swear, if you throw something to me, I won't be able to catch it even if my life depends on it). So every lesson, he stopped the every practical lesson at least once just to get someone to throw a ball to me several times to see if I could catch it :( Just so you know, I still cannot catch anything :p

I think the syllabus is vague, just my opinion :p On another note, do you think PDHPE is the most important subject? Someone in our class asked our teacher a few weeks ago and he said that it was and if you don't think it is, we'll see what happens when someone offers you drugs on the street, then he gave an evil laugh :p
Haha, too nice to be true? Well you'll see how nice (or mean) I am when you meet me haha. Trust me Caffeine, I'm not gay :) We'll leave it there haha.

Yep, Fawun's test was for tutoring. I hope you are enjoying your holidays but next week (which starts tomorrow! or are you one of those people who consider the week to start on Monday?) I'll be checking everyday to make sure you're studying because I said I would haha. Besides, I have to message you at least once a day because you believe I'll miss one day haha - we'll see about that :D
Well with the constant messaging, and the too nice to be true attitude one could easily be persuaded that you may indeed swing the other way XD
......
Ahahah nah I'm just messing :p

Is this the test for the tutor? Because here I am enjoying my holidays and I see the word test and it's like "oh god what have I missed" :S

PDHPE has always been great at King's. Prac and Theory. Theory is interesting in year 11 and it gets better in year 12. We still have the occassional prac sessions in which we're playing some rugby etc. Although I usually just go to the gym instead and workout with some others. But we do more than that, but there's a lot to explain :p

The only downside is that the PE syllabus just looks vague, it probably isn't but hey first glance says otherwise :p
Haha, this is so awkward. Someone PMed me and asked if I was gay (a serious question) and he was saying that it's okay if I am :p My reaction: WHAT?! Where did you get that from?! Both of you, be honest, does it really seem like I'm gay? No lying!

Btw Fawun, hope all goes well with the test! I look forward to the day when you beat that annoying Ruse student :)

I just realised that Caffeine does PDHPE, I will be extremely happy to say good-bye to that subject at the end of the year. Most of the time I just run around and pretend that I'm running for the ball or I run in the opposite direction that everyone else is running in haha. What do you like about it? I heard that PDHPE classes in senior years are mostly theory though. I don't mind the theory, but I absolutely hate the practical.
Hi Caffeine and Fawun! :) That's unfair, why? :(

I agree, I think everyone can handle the weather today :p

And this is for tutor, right? Keep trying Fawun! If you did accelerated last year then obviously you have some talent in maths! :D However use BoS to ask people questions whenever you are stuck! :)
I need an aircon :p because every room in the house has one but mine...

It's not as hot today though :) but i'm suppose to be studying for my test and sfkahfksjd i can't do it. I just want to crawl in a corner and cry :L it's so hard and i don't get anything and my parents expect me to pass... All i have to do is get over 50%. Just 50%... last time I failed (literally i got 7/20 and the average was 13) so i HOPE i pass...
Silly me, I opened the curtains so it's so hot in here :( Even worse, my computer is next to a window :( I went to the shops today and obviously it was hot :p 2 years of no summer - that is so true! The previous summer didn't even feel like summer haha.

I might watch Community again as well :)
I haven't opened a single curtain yet, so far the house has remained at a nice cool temperature, if I take one step outside I swear I will burn up XD

Nah we can't ask for things to be built, it's just my house (school house) is having a room re built so putting my say in for it.

Fawun go get a fan or something, I'm not used to this heat after like 2 years of no summer.

Just finished all of season 1 of Community. Such a gooooooooood show. Now to go buy the 2nd season :p
I'm used to talking for long periods of time haha. I must admit, I avoid talking to some of my friends during the holidays because every single time we talk on Skype during the holidays, they talk so much that the conversation ends up going for over an hour, no joke. They don't even realise I'm bored (most of the time during these long conversations, I just say 'oh really?' 'that's cool' and 'yeah'). Also, I'm usually doing something like reading while they are talking :p
@Fawun:
That's what happens when I'm bored, I talk about random stuff :p So, are you enjoying your holidays?

And you don't have to haha. I'm just making sure I post here at least once a day :p Don't you have air conditioning? But yeah, the weather is crazy. It was depressing yesterday :p
You can ask for things to get built for you? Cool! And yeah, I've seen a few episodes of it so I know what you're talking about :) Haha, lucky for me then because I know for some of our subjects there are only around 30 people doing it :p The minimum is around 15 students from what I heard. Best of luck with it, I'm sure your ranks will be better in year 12 :D

I think probably their class. I didn't even know that they considered everyone in your cohort who does the subject. Thank God it was a teacher who explained it :) So, what else are you doing now? :)
Aha I just don't see it happening, not because people don't want to, it just won't be thought of. I'll form a few study groups at school for certain subjects and hopefully that works out.
I'm asking for a study room to be built in our house (we have houses at school) with long table and whiteboards, so I hope that gets accepted. If you've ever seen the comedy 'Community' you'll know what I mean.

He says in the video to work on getting your high rank first then helping out. So it's first up to me to fight for a good rank. Some of you guys have it easy with subjects that only have like 20 people. For us its like each subject has a minimum of 60-70 + So I have heaps to compete against.

If you look at some people's sigs they're like 1/23 and I'm like hold on is that just in their class or year?
Yeah, it sucks how you have to help each other haha. Truthfully, I don't think anyone is going to do that though because they want to keep their high rank :p

So, are you going to try and get the highest rank possible or are you going to do that and help others? Just curious :)
Wow watched the video, it was very good but it also shows how horrible the HSC can be XD To sum up that video, unless you're in the top 1-3 in your class, if the rest do bad then all the middle students suffer :S
Watch it and let me know if it makes sense :) It wasn't explained very well to us either :p

The MacBook that the school gave us is okay but it has a lot of restrictions haha. It's strange because I know many Catholic schools who don't have restrictions on their laptops. Oh well. If you had a MacBook, I know you would sell it to get money (or coffee) :p
Ahh thank you very much this might actually help me make sense of it all :p

Aha no no I'm living off my laptop now. My desktop which I use for everything is the one which the video card died in. So I'm just buying a new video card etc. Not a new computer.
And my laptop would never ever be a Mac anyway XD
Yes, you are super organised :) As long as you can get some advantage, it's good. However I found out why you should try to get the top rank, watch this:

Someone posted it in a thread today and I found it very helpful. It might help you too, just in case you were given the wrong information :) And yes, hit it hard next week. Fawun (maybe) and I will be checking everyday next week hehe ;)

I don't even know anything about my video card haha. What laptop do you use? I hope it's not a MacBook :p What laptop do you want to buy? :)
On and off, the important thing is that I've got all my books + study guides neatly laid out on the floor in each subject pile. So I'm super organised. Did like an 1 hour of Bio yesterday XD Aha and today I was out, so It's been....minimal....

Next week though I'm going to hit it really hard. Enjoying life this first week.

My video card on my computer just died, now stuck on my laptop :S Perfect excuse to buy a brand new epic one XD (I dabble a little in the arts of gaming XD)
