    Thanks for your advice, your post was very helpful.
    I would like to know more about distinction courses and I think that you'd be the best to answer me questions as I am completely unfamiliar with these special classes.

    I definitely want to do a distinction course for Yr.12, preferably philosophy.

    - When must I have completed the accelerated course?
    - Is it too late to apply for an accelerated course? (to do during my prelims?)
    - How do I formally apply for a distinction course?
    - If I start the HSC course for my chosen accelerated subject, does that mean I will not do the Preliminary course in Yr. 11? How does it go?
    - Where can I go to get more information?


    Any advice and help is much appreciated.
