If you missed out in getting into a course when you finished the hsc and you go to a different uni and then try again one year later what's the difference in uai needed? I missed out by 0.25....

For transfers to UTS they use your uai or 1st yr uni results depending on which is higher (not a combination of both like unsw and syd etc) but what i want to know is if my uai will be used then will it be simply ranked against other non current school leavers uais or against the new cut off...

i'd say ring the international studies department of a uni (the one you'd like to eventually go to) and ask them if they can recommend a tafe course that will correspond well with their degree. Or ring the tafe and ask them the same question.

my two friends got the same mark in the same subject but one got e3 and the other got e2 what does this mean??? the one that got e2 is pissed off obviously but does it actually make any difference to the uai?

omg... No one is answering the poor guy's question!! if i knew the raw mark you needed to get a scaled mark of approx 80 i would definitely tell you, but sorry i dont! IF ANYONE KNOWS PLEASE ANSWER IT FOR THIS GUY (and me)

i dont do art but my friend who does told me that they ask for the vapd when they are going to give you band 6 for the major work. (your other reasons are right too about checking its your own work etc.) so dont worry maybe your a 90+ artist!

well if you are nominated you must have gotten full marks for the particular piece that is nominated. so your overall mark doesnt have to be 100 because your other pieces could be lower and nominated people dont all get 100 for the written paper! (although im sure some do...)
